GRAYSC is a studio for architectural photography and the documentation of art and design.

Our architectural photography is deeply invested in capturing the inner essence of a space – its architectural shape and color as well as its concept, context and atmosphere. We strive to document each space in its own unique way, influenced by both light and geometry, in order to translate the architect's ideas into the language of photography.

Our own artistic backgrounds allow us to approach exhibition and art documentation with well trained eyes, ensuring sensitivity to overall feel as well as exceptional attention to detail. In the field of documentation a neutral, technical approach is necessary to ensure the highest standard of results. Our considerable experience enables us to professionally handle, view and capture old masters and contemporary pieces alike.

Hrefna is the manager of GRAYSC, making sure the studio runs smoothly. After finishing her degree in art at Berlin- Weißensee, she studied management at Antwerp Management School and worked as a project manager and a producer before joining GRAYSC.

Philip is the founder and photographer of GRAYSC. He studied photography from 2007 - 2010 at the Ostkreuzschule in Berlin and art, with an emphasis on photography, from 2010 - 2016 at the HGB Leipzig and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. He has been working professionally as a documentary photographer since 2016.
